Illustration Friday - Swarm

'Swarm'

For this weeks illustration friday I was stuck on what to draw for quite a while as I didn't want to just draw a group of insects. After a lot of thought I decided to mix it up a bit and twist the word to 'it's warm' but keep it sounding like swarm. For this image I thought I'd do a fire and then decided to do a profile of a face sweating. To keep it related to 'swarm' I put a fly in the image which could mean it's attracted to the light of the fire.

For improvement to the image I was told to add more definition to the charcoal background, more shading to the face and draw more of the face. I personally would like to letter block the word 'swarm as well as I don't like the digital look.
