This was a post on ChrisWahlart blog. He initially made the image by doing a quick ink caricature of actor Kyle Maclachlan from sci-fi film Dune. He then coloured the image and sharpened it in Photoshop, I like that Chris has used mixed media in this image instead of just using Photoshop which he is clearly able to do. It gives the image much more character by using ink.
This is a quick sketch that Chris did of a character in a TV series Monkey. He said it took him 2-3 hours which is fairly fast for the detail the image has on it, he also said that the background texture is made from his custom brushes. I think this image is very realistic considering it was made in Photoshop and I like how I can subtly see the brushes in the background.
