Sheffield Hallam University

After I finish college I know that I definatly want to go to university and right now I have a vague idea on the universities I would like to focus on. I'm not going to limit myself to just local universities, however I would prefer to go to a universitiy that isn't too far away from my house.

When looking at the Sheffield Hallam prospectus I found a lot of courses that caught my eye. Some of them I probably won't look at again in the future.

Course:Photography BA/MArt
Ucas requirement:280
Entry requirements:A portfolio based interview
Why?: I thought this course looked would be good for me because I've always had an interest in photography and would like the chance to gain experience in the field of photography. This course would also help me gain more knowledge on what sort of photography I'd prefer to do in the future. I do feel like this course would restrict me too much and I think that it's too risky give myself such a limited career choice.

Course:Interior Design. BA/ MArt
Ucas requirement:240
Entry requirement: A portfolio based interview
Why? Interior design was also a course that although is restricting caught my eye. I've always had a interest in interior design but have never really thought about extending that interest into a career. Looking at the information for the course I don't think it would be something I would want to study because I feel that it would be hard to pursue after education.

Course:Graphic Design. BA/MDes
Ucas requirement:260
Entry requirement: A portfolio based interview
Why?: I like the thought of doing graphic design because of the fact that it has such a broad range of career choices after you finish the course, and considering that I'm not sure what I want to focus on yet I like that this has a lot of different paths for it.
